Jessica McKenna

Jessica was born in Richard Nixon's hometown, Yorba Linda, CA. If you visit his beautiful presidential library, you can hear about what a great guy he was! He opened up trade with China!  Growing up she was torn between the stage and the courtroom—the made up courtroom. She was really good at mock trial. Like, she has two medals. This is where you talk about how good you were at high school mock trial right? No? Cool.

Well, she decided to go with the stage and received her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from Northwestern University. In Evanston, that sweet John Hughes suburb of Chicago, she fell in love with long-form improv comedy. It's the best.

Since moving to L.A., she has studied sketch and improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and The Groundlings. She can be seen regularly performing at UCB with her house sketch team New Money, her improv team Mister Town City, and at numerous other shows. Some other favorite UCB credits include Newlywedded!, a hip-hop musical she co-wrote, The BeatDown, a freestyle rap battle that she has won, and Animal Rhymes Presents: the Infinite Universe, a musical sketch show she co-wrote and starred in.

In addition to performing sketch and improv for adults, Jessica is proud to be an actor, director and teaching artist with Story Pirates, an award-winning children's theatre company that takes stories written by kids and turns them into an awesome show.

Jess starred on the Fox improv comedy series "RIOT." Other television credits include "The Goldbergs," "Comedy Bang! Bang!," "The Jeselnik Offensive" and a new Fox animation pilot called "Lowe Rollers." She currently has a writing deal to create a show for Nickelodeon. Her music video, "My Butt (Has Nothing to Offer)" has gone over 1.3 million views on YouTube. Her mom is pumped about this.

Finally, Jess knows she needs to cut back on soda, okay? Please don't give her a hard time.
