Karen Maruyama is an alumna of the Groundlings theater in Los Angeles. Her recent television credits include “Arrested Development,” “Two Broke Girls,” “Shameless,” and “The Neighbors.” She was also in the film “The Campaign” as the wise acre maid. In addition to directing the Black Version, Karen directs shows at the Groundlings and is a member of the directing faculty at the American Film Institute.
